Back in 2014, GROB put together its first team to face this challenge in Augsburg, just 70 km away. Year on year, the event has become increasingly popular and the desire to do well has grown. The number of sports enthusiasts went from a mere handful to around 120 GROB runners in 2017. The family business was able to motivate 350 of its employees for this year's event, doubling the number of runners at the previous event. One of our own entrants was particularly successful: Florian Mauler qualified for the podium with a race time of under 20 minutes.
"Taking part means everything, we run as a group and enjoy the exercise" – this was the motto for the start of the successful participation in the seventh M-Net Corporate Run. No matter whether novice or more advanced, runner or walker, everyone from the GROB Group was welcome. And for those who wanted to increase their fitness level, the machine manufacturer offered a three-month preparation program. Personalized training schedules to follow at home were also created if required.
"Fighting together to achieve one goal, training together and motivating each other – all this encourages team spirit and bonds us together", explains Karl Hempfer, Head of HR Management. "We draw positives from the event and are extremely proud of our employees' achievements."
