During General Motors’ 22nd annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony at the Cobo Center in Detroit, GROB-WERKE was honored for the eighth time as Supplier of the Year. “This is an honor with great significance for our Company”, stated Christian Grob, company chief representative, at the festive event. “It shows the importance of always putting special effort into meeting the high quality requirements of our customers”. General Motors Vice President Grace Lieblein praised GROB-WERKE thusly: “Our suppliers play an important role in helping GM deliver compelling vehicles to our customers. Supplier of the Year winners have outstanding track records for consistently meeting our business needs, while also supporting our cultural priorities”.
“It’s always a great feeling for your hard work to be recognized by one of your largest customers. But to receive the award several times in a row is an outstanding demonstration of our excellent partnership”, Michael Hutecker, President of GROB Systems, Bluffton, Ohio, gladly stated on the occasion of the award ceremony. “As a Tier one supplier to all GM block lines, we especially bear a great responsibility”.
GM awards this prize to suppliers who can demonstrate innovative skills, high quality of their products and superior service. Although less than one percent of GM suppliers receive this award, GROB-WERKE has been honored as a partner eight times.
