The new location will be managed by Stefan Buchsbaum, who has been the head of the Austrian branch since 2020. With his many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the market, he will drive forward the after-sales area and local service in particular. "The opening of the branch in Steyr allows us to be even closer to our customers and respond more quickly to their needs," explains GROB Sales Director Christian Müller. "Especially in the service area, short distances and close support are crucial."
The Austrian market plays an important role for GROB, particularly in the field of universal machines. Many companies from the automotive and supplier industry, but also from the aerospace and general industry, rely on flexible and high-precision machining solutions - one of GROB's core competencies. "Austria is a strategically important market for us, as it is home to numerous medium-sized and large industrial companies that rely on innovative manufacturing technologies," emphasizes Christian Müller. "With our new branch, we can offer these companies even better support and strengthen our market position in the long term."
While new machines will continue to be sold in collaboration with long-standing partner ALFLETH Engineering GmbH, the new branch will primarily help to further expand customer service and technical support. "Our customers expect not only outstanding machine quality, but also first-class service - and this is exactly where we come in with GROB Austria," continues Christian Müller.
With the opening of the branch in Steyr, GROB is underlining its long-term commitment to the Austrian market and is looking forward to successful cooperation with customers and partners.
