In conjunction with GROB representatives in northern Germany, REX Werkzeugmaschinen Vertriebs GmbH will present a revamped GROB G350 universal machine. It is distinguished by a high-performance 16,000 rpm spindle with a torque of 206 Nm, as well as excellent access from the working area.
“Although it is important for GROB-WERKE to have a presence at a regional trade fair such as NORTEC, aerospace as well as wind energy industries represent a significant cluster in northern Germany,” states Peter Hermanns, GROB Sales Director for GROB Universal Machines Germany, when describing the motivation for the trade show presence in northern Germany. Further, the NORTEC with its catchment area of Belgium, Scandinavia and the UK, is the manufacturing trade fair par excellence in northern Europe.
The international trade fair year will start for GROB at the end of February in China
After the NORTEC, the next fair is at the end of February at the CCMT in Shanghai, the China CNC Machine Tool Fair. The CCMT is the recognized trade exposition in China for CNC machines, machine control systems, machine components and linear systems. This is the most important machine tool trade fair after the CIMT, which is held every other year. Supported by colleagues at GROB Machine Tools (Beijing) Co. Ltd., GROB-WERKE presented a GA 550 universal machine at its own 114 m2 stand at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). Additional international trade shows featuring GROB participation include the Techni Show in Utrecht, Holland, the MACH in Birmingham, UK, the SIMTOS in Seoul, South Korea and the CIMES in Beijing, China, to name just a few. Of course GROB-WERKE will be represented again in June at the Metalloobrabotka in Moscow with its own exhibition team and stand. The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), which takes place between September 8-13 in Chicago, will once again be set up by our American colleagues from Bluffton.
METAV and AMB – 2014 German trade fair highlights
GROB Mindelheim will again be directly involved in both of the largest machine tool trade fairs in March and September of this year. From March 11-15, the international members of the trade will meet at the METAV in Düsseldorf, in 2014 the most important window on the entire spectrum of manufacturing technology. This trade fair focuses on machine tools, production systems, precision tools, computer technology and related equipment. Traditionally, the International Exhibition for Metal Working (AMB) opens in Stuttgart in September. From September16-20, this industry highlight will take place in the heart of the German automotive industry. Again, the latest developments in machine tools and their associated peripherals for the machining of metal products will be the focus. Both METAV and AMB will again provide the best platforms for the latest products and technologies offered by Mindelheim.
Exhibitions and industry forums as technology platforms
GROB products are not only presented at national and international trade fairs; they are also seen at special exhibitions and trade forums. A variety of talks and reports on the latest GROB technological expertise accompany these presentations. Currently the Ingersoll InDays in Dalian, People’s Republic of China and the MAV Forum in Böblingen near Stuttgart (not 100% certain, unfortunately) are on the agenda. “During both in-house exhibitions and forums we have taken the opportunity to focus on and explain our technological expertise before a distinguished public,” says Alexander Attenberger, international GROB Sales Director for universal machines, regarding such events. Thus for GROB-WERKE, trade fairs in 2014 present a very challenging and extensive program worldwide.
