In a ceremony at the end of April, GROB Systems received the Capital Equipment Quality Award for the first time in its history, thus honoring the Company as best supplier of the past year. During the last Pentastar project for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) at the Mack Avenue Engine Complex, GROB Systems supplied an engine block production line for V6 aluminum engines. This award by FCA honored not only the performance and quality of the G-modules, but also recognized the professionalism and competence shown by GROB employees as they carried out this extensive order. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that for several years no machine tool companies had been considered when awarding this prize.
Following the Supplier of the Year Award by General Motors at the beginning of March, the Capital Equipment Quality Award by FCA is the second significant recognition of GROB as a supplier in America within a short time period.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles operates two plants in the Mack Avenue Engine complex, Mack Engine I and Mack Engine II. FCA is the seventh-largest automaker worldwide, and was created when Fiat took over Chrysler in January 2014.
