New developments and the use of cutting-edge technologies to establish innovative solutions are of decisive importance for strengthening the competitiveness of GROB-WERKE, especially in times of the Corona pandemic. To be able to experience the latest products and innovations at first hand, GROB opened the Virtual Open House for six days. The first of its kind, which immediately became a complete success.
After entering the virtual GROB world, visitors were welcomed by CSO Christian Müller with a personal video message in which he showed them the wide range of information that awaited them digitally. In addition to a virtual showroom, the focus was on five exciting web seminars, each on a central theme, followed by numerous digital discussions between interested customers and GROB experts. In the digital presentations, specialists from sales and service, electromobility and software provided information about the company's current products and innovations.
Besides the presentation of new automation solutions, such as the GROB robot cell (GRC), one of the product highlights was the world premiere of the new G150 universal machining center, the smallest one in GROB's product portfolio. It was developed for high-precision machinings for a broad range of industries. The users were not only able to have a look at the machining center including all relevant technical data and standard machinings but also had the chance to experience the craftmanship of the machine live in action in a machining video.
Another highlight was the virtual tour of the company: Georg Zimmermann, GROB coordinator for product-oriented training and responsible for tours of the company, took visitors on a video tour of the various halls and gave them exciting insights into the logistics and production of the Mindelheim main plant.
"We had visitors from all over the world," sums up GROB Supervisory Board Chairman Christian Grob. "From the United States and Brazil to Germany, China and Japan, users accessed our new platform. A success that encourages us on our digital path and which we would like to continue to pursue in the future, not only in pandemic times."
